A Custom-tailored Program for Students Wishing to Study Economics at Paris1 and Fudan
A truly global program
The School of Economics at Fudan University and the Faculty of Economics at University of Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne, which are among the leading Economics institutions in the world, have jointly their efforts to organized an innovative international Double-Degree Master Program in Economics, with a focus on Globalization and World Economy. This program aims to provide cutting-edge education in Economics at master level. Since 2008 the program has recruited both Chinese and non-Chinese students who will become key experts in Sino-European economic relations. Participants also benefit from diverse cultures and study environments as they will spend the 1st year in Paris and the 2nd year in Shanghai with classmates from around the world.

2 master degrees: Master Degree in Economics specialized in Globalization by Paris 1 and Master Degree in Economics specialized in World Economy by Fudan

This program, starting in 2008, trains Chinese and non-Chinese economists who will become key experts in Euro-Chinese economic relations.

About the Pantheon-Sorbonne University
The University of Paris was created at the very beginning of the 13th century, and has inherited its name from the College created by the theologian Robert de Sorbon in 1252.  Alongside Oxford and Bologna, the Sorbonne is one of the oldest universities in the world.

Year 1
The first academic year (fall, spring and summer semesters) will be organized in Paris 1 starting from October. For the first two semesters, students will be enrolled in the PSME program. Only students who will have successfully completed the first two semesters will be allowed to continue. For the third (summer) semester, they will be offered classes specifically organized for them, corresponding to core courses offered in the regular 2nd  year program of the Master in Economics specialized in globalization economics.

The second academic year (two semesters) will be organized in Fudan starting from September. For these two semesters, students will be enrolled in the 'Fudan Master in Economics (2nd year) specialized in World Economy' program.

The whole programme is worth 120 European Credits and 56 Chinese Credits.
Master thesis
During the fifth semester students will prepare a Master thesis under joint supervision of one professor from Fudan and one professor of Paris 1. The thesis will be defended at the end of this period in presence of at least one professor of Fudan and at least one professor of Paris 1.

§  Admission

Chinese students: must pass Fudan graduate entrance exams and interview, with an IELTS certificate (above 6.0) or a TOEFL IBT (above 80).
International students (except Chinese Students): must meet Fudan admission requirements for international students, with equivalent English language proficiency.

§  Tuition Fees

Fee structure:
Students will pay their fees to the organization concerned before each academic year begins. The tuition does not cover students' travel, accomodation or texbooks.

§  Application (for International students)

[3].    Statement of purpose describing the motivation for studying at Fudan University in the Double Degree;

[4].    Two letters of recommendation both in sealed envelopes from recommending professors;

[5].    Brief overview of hitherto academic research production (list of essays, papers, bachelor thesis produced);

[6].    English level certificate (equivalent requirements as for PSME);

[7].    Valid passport copy;

[8].    Two passport-sized photos;

The first year is the same as the PSME programme at Paris1. Thus, Non-Chinese students should directly apply for the PSME program and state clearly in their letter of motivation that they want to join the Fudan program.
